About us

Supporting Veterans and Families with Dignity, Stability, and Opportunity

Worldwide Veterans and Family Services, Inc. (WVFS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization dedicated to empowering veterans and their families by providing comprehensive services that address their most urgent needs.

Our organization offers a wide range of support programs, including emergency assistance, job training and placement, counseling, referrals, and transitional and permanent housing for homeless veterans, as well as for those at risk of becoming homeless. We proudly serve veterans and families throughout the New York Metropolitan Area, with a primary focus on the Bronx, New York.

Founded by Chaplain Marisa Estrella, a disabled veteran and community leader, Worldwide Veterans and Family Services was created from a deep understanding of the challenges veterans face when transitioning to civilian life. Her personal experience and commitment to service have shaped the organization’s mission to provide hope, stability, and meaningful opportunities for veterans and their families.

We are committed to reducing homelessness, strengthening families, and improving quality of life by connecting veterans to housing assistance, employment resources, and essential support services. WVFS works in collaboration with trusted partners and government agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), HUD-VASH, NYCHA, Department of Labor (DOL), and other community organizations.

Through compassion, dedication, and community partnerships, we strive to ensure that no veteran is left behind. Our goal is to build stronger communities where veterans and their families can live with dignity, independence, and long-term stability.
